Save the dates: Friday, October 21 and Saturday October 22 for a one-of-a-kind writing conference at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta (UUCA). Meet, learn and participate in a workshop led by celebrated authors and poets. Also enjoy a Yoga and meditation session designed to fuel your creative energy, and an opportunity to perform for an audience. You will also have the chance to have a personal meeting with a professional editor to discuss your work. Lastly, submit your work to be published in the Getting in Touch with the Source anthology.

Submission Guidelines

 

  • All submitters must be registered for Getting in Touch with the Source. To register for Getting in Touch with the Source visit www.uucawomenwriters.org
  •  
  • There is $20.00 fee per submission for Anthology submissions only. There is no fee for Editor Review submissions or Coffee House performance.  All Authors selected will be contacted.
  • You must be 18 years old or over
  • Authors retain copyright to their work.
  • No submissions will be returned
  • Include a cover sheet with your name, address, email address, phone number, and one paragraph bio

    • Getting in Touch with the Source Anthology:

  • We welcome submissions from previously unpublished authors
  • Your submission must be a single, original work of literary fiction, literary non-fiction, poetry or prose
  • You may send only one submission of no more than 4000 words.  For poetry, no more than two pages total.
  • The work must be related to one or all of the themes: Identity, Expression and or Transformation

  • Getting in Touch with the Source Editor Review:

  • Your submission must be an original work of literary fiction, literary non-fiction poetry or prose.
  • You may send only one submission, totaling no more than 2000 words. For poetry, no more than 2 pages total.
  • Include a cover sheet with your name, address, email address, phone number, and one paragraph bio

  • Getting in Touch with the Source Coffee House Performance:

  • Your submission must be an original work of literary fiction, literary non-fiction poetry or prose.
  • You may send only one submission, totaling no more than 2000 words. For poetry, no more than 2 pages total.

    • Include a cover sheet with your name, address, email address, phone number, and one paragraph bio including any prior performance experience
